After flying out from
Sydney around
10:30 am on Vietnamese Airlines, we arrived in
Singapore that evening about 8 hours later.
After discovering that our MTR (Metro Rail) cards had expired, we managed to purchase new ones to travel through the excellent underground rail system.
We found our hotel, the historic Wanderlust Hotel which, was quite close to Little India. The hotel looks charming with quite an ornate exterior and lots of decorative tiles
There were quite a few Chinese style restaurants in the area, so we selected one where we had a very nice, but somewhat spicy meal.
We had a reasonable night sleep in the second most cramped hotel room we ever stayed in - the rooms were really small.
